Sugar Daddies

Sugar Daddies is a deliciously sweet comedy show by Mark MacIssac and Rodney Owen that will have you laughing until desert. The show revolves around two friends who are dealing with life's challenges in their own unique ways. One of them has diabetes, which makes everyday tasks like feeding and keeping his snakes alive and himself a bit more challenging. Whilst the other has a toddler, which also makes everyday tasks like feeding and keeping his sanity from Violet Crumbling a bit more challenging. Despite their obstacles, the two friends manage to find humour in their situations, and the show explores a wide range of topics, from health and relationships to fatherhood and everything in between.

Mark is a punny British comedian that has lived in Australia for 18 years he is also an insulin dependent diabetic and a health professional. Having lived with diabetes for over 10 years, he has walked a rocky road but has managed find humour in his condition, and from working in a hospital has a dark take on morality and mortality.

Rodney is a father, husband and a Counsellor who uses humour as therapy, a bonding tool, a conversation starter and a weapon to help people. He has many interesting Fantales to tell. And when he’s not on the couch he’s changing cherry ripe nappies and trying to keep his marriage alive.

Sugar Daddies is at the Newtown Hotel on 20th and 22nd September at 8:15pm and on the 24th September at 7:15pm. Tickets are limited so book now or miss out.
