Maddie Stokes and Emma Leonard: Both Had Our Lives Ruined By The Same Genie

Maddie Stokes and Emma Leonard: Both Had Our Lives Ruined By The Same Genie

from $15.00

20 - 22 Sep | 50 minutes Factory Theatre
SHOW IS RATED: M

A hilarious, surreal take on romance, misguided advice and accumulated life lessons from two fresh new Sydney comedians.

Emma and Maddie both had their lives ruined by the same genie. Is the genie a metaphor? Probably. Blending stand up and sketch, this show is a celebration of all the wishes we never made.

Emma Leonard is an actor, comedian and writer you might recognise from TV’s 800 words, Home and Away, or a toothpaste commercial that has been to more countries than she has. She recently made her stand up debut on the Sydney scene and performs regularly at Improv Theatre Sydney.

Maddie Stokes is a comedian, improviser and musical theatre performer who has appeared at the Factory Theatre numerous times with Sydney's debut musical improv troupe, Unplanned Melodies. She is best known for her stand up appearances at Xavier College Ballina’s morning assembly 2009-2010.

“Her feet look small on her TV show” – Reviewer, Emma’s wikifeet, 2018

“Her work output was very high and she completed a number of valuable activities in our area” – Maddie’s Performance Review, 2016
