James Kehoe - Long Distance

from $15.00

21 - 24 Sep | 45 minutes Factory Theatre
SHOW IS RATED: M

This one-man supernatural comedy brings a whole new meaning to the term "ghosting", as hopeless romantic Henry tries to keep the spark alive with Lisa - his recently deceased girlfriend.

Henry believes that love truly transcends all boundaries - even the one between life and death. Using the otherworldly powers of his Ouija board, he’s determined to not let a little thing like mortality get in the way of a good thing between him and his dearly departed girlfriend, Lisa. But Lisa’s going to need a bit more convincing; her heart’s just not in it any more. Can Henry keep the spirit of their relationship alive, or does he just need to let his beloved get on with her afterlife?

Long Distance is a comedic one-man show about someone willing to do whatever it takes to hold on to a memory, and the lengths they’ll go to in order to preserve something that’s no longer there. Written by and starring Sydney-based writer and improviser James Kehoe, this hauntingly funny play navigates one of the most horrifying and uncomfortable truths of the human experience - modern dating.
