It's What She Would Have Wanted

It's What She Would Have Wanted

05 - 09 Sep | 55 minutes Emerging Artist Sharehouse - The Office

Nicky Barry is a much-loved comedy powerhouse and storyteller par excellence. Come join her for a blistering hour of standup about her journey on the ruinous road to here.

Nicky Barry was raised to be a quite, compliant catholic young lady. She is now a brazen stand-up comedian with a razor-sharp wit and a potty mouth. How she came to here is a tale both hilarious and deeply moving.

It's What She Would Have Wanted is a rollicking tale about repressive catholic school, bold ambition, failed contraception, big nights out and undying love.

This is a very special show about standing up and standing out, inspired by the love of the best friend a wantonly wicked woman could ever have.

About Nicky

Nicky is a stand-up comedian and storyteller from Naarm (Melbourne). Nicky started her comedy career somewhere way past the age of 30 as a contestant in Raw Comedy. Having never done a gig, she stormed her way into the State Final. Nicky is now a regular headliner in Melbourne and occasionally beyond. She is revered as one of those comedians many others are afraid to follow.

"Quality filthy standup with heart" Lily Fish

She’s warm, funny, unpretentious and relatable, especially when it comes to stories about making an arse of yourself when drunk on a girls’ night out. Arts Hub
