Music for Quiet Minds is an immersive experience featuring live music and dance with no words spoken, featuring Sydney's own Inlay Ensemble.
The Inlay Ensemble are a Sydney based New Music/ Improvising String Ensemble led by Elsen Price. It features some of Sydney's broad minded strings players including Susie Bishop, Dr John Napier, Connor Malanos, Isabel Tzorbatzaki, Ben Adler and Adrian Keating. On this performance they will be joined by live improvised dance, to create a visual and aural conduit for the senses. The ensemble has performed at numerous concerts and events, bringing a fresh take to traditional classical instruments, and a charismatic stage banter. They have given themselves a small challenge with this performance, in making the performance completely wordless!Audiences will be encouraged to not speak, and also to not applaud, to give an experience of silent immersion in spontaneous creativity. This may be a challenge for some audience members who might like to interact with live performance, it might also be breath of fresh air to audiences to wish to enjoy art in silence. Either way, it will a memorable and unique experience for all!
