Yaama, My names Alkira Field I am a young and proud Gamilaraay, Wiradjuri and Biripi woman living, learning and growing on the lands of the Dharug nations. I co-founded and coordinate a Gamilaraay women’s dance group Gali Wanda Yinaar. My personal interests revolve around being a singer/songwriter, I am artistic and creative. I have a passion for family and community interests and sharing whatever attributes I can to connect with mob and uplift mob. I’ve worked with and in community since I was a young girl which was always influenced by my grandmother whom is a well respected Gamilaraay Elder.

Working with Sydney Fringe excites me in the sense that it gives new life to a new creative perspective and also allows room for new connections to be made with the community.
